My recent paintings have become smaller, more gestural and compressed. More emphasis is now put on drawing. This work is a reflection of my world; a combination of organic forms and unnatural, urban settings. I take cues form subway graffiti and urban parks as well as my parents home on Long Island where I go sailing. Ropes and lines on the boat, as well as effects of light and water provide endless visual stimulation for these works.
