In 2007 I was awarded The Luetz/Riedel Fellowship to participate in an exchange program at L'École Des Beaux Arts in Paris, France. The experience was timeless and the work I made there is a collection of ideas and moments; from the vast cathedrals to the gardens of Giverny. It was the light, and the human scale of that city that helped me create my recent work. Everything I learned about color I found in Monet's Les Nymphéas. I visited those canvases every week for six months.
